Scholarship Opportunities

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity W.H. Young Scholarship

The Omega Psi Phi fraternity is offering a scholarship to an African American male high school senior who will graduate in the spring of 2018. Applications will be judged on Grades, test scores, extracurricular activities, honors and awards. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2018. See Mrs. Meehan in the guidance office for an application.

SC Association of Educational Office Professionals

This $1,500 scholarship is open to any SC student wishing to continue their education. Applicants will submit an essay on “What career have you chosen to pursue and why”, three letters of recommendation, a school transcript, and the application form. Deadline to apply is December 1, 2017.

Kittie Moss Fairey Educational Fund Scholarship

The Kittie Moss Fairey Scholarship provides scholarship money to deserving SC seniors who meet certain academic and financial criteria. Eligibility requirements include: at least a 3.0 GPA, SAT score of 1100 or ACT score of 26, household adjusted gross income not exceeding $40,000, plans to attend a 4-year SC College or University.

Lyceum Scholars Program

The Lyceum scholars program at Clemson University is accepting applications for fall 2018. Students accepted receive a $10,000 scholarship. Lyceum scholars study the moral, political, and economic foundations of a free society while under the mentorship of a university faculty member. More information can be found at

Most Valuable Student Elk’s Scholarship

Any High School senior may apply. Applications will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Applications must be submitted by November 27, 2017. See Mrs. Meehan in the guidance office for more information.

Ron Brown Scholar Program

The RBSP offers $10,000 per year for 4 years. To be eligible, applicants must be African- American seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and have a financial need.

Mercer University School of Engineering Scholarship

The Mercer University School of Engineering is pleased to once again invite seniors from your school to apply for our annual Scholarship Challenge at our Macon, Georgia campus on Saturday, November 11, 2017.  We plan to award valuable scholarships this fall to high school seniors who are interested in Mercer’s engineering, industrial management and technical communications program.  More information about Mercer Engineering is available at
